In response to a rash of massive deaths striped bass along the coast, North Carolina in the CCA asked the Committee on fisheries marine CN (MFC) to eliminate trawling of any kind as an art of allowable fishing for striped bass. Incidents, photographed and recorded on video by sports fishermen in the area, were the result of business operations of trawls in waters of the State and the outrage has been up and down the East Coast. North Carolina's CCA requested decisive action at the meeting of MFC in mounds of pine, 10 and 11 February
